Jackets To Avoid
Cold weather is inevitable. Jackets that make people look good are showing up on the streets regularly and people are finally going out to buy a jacket to keep warm. While the color of a new jacket is a matter of personal taste, there are several things that a stylish buyer must avoid when making a jacket purchase. The first thing to avoid is an unfashionable jacket. There are several jacket styles that are never out of style, such as the bomber jacket in either suede or fabric or the boyfriend jacket cut to fit a woman's body. Unfashionable jackets are usually ones that do not conform to the wearer's shape and do not have a fairly neutral color. 
While extremes in styling may be a bold statement and part of an overall look, as a rule these jackets are not going to stand the test of time as far as fashionability is concerned and therefore should be avoided.
A second aspect of a jacket that must be considered is its construction. A cheaply made jacket might be stylish in design but if it can't last the winter before falling apart it is not worth any price that is paid for it. Cheaply made jackets give themselves away by the stitching and the fabrics used. Uneven stitching or mix and match color in the stitching are tells for a poorly made jacket to be avoided. Another sign of shoddy workmanship in a jacket is the fit. A well made jacket will conform to a wearer's body shape and give the body a sleek form, while a cheaply made jacket will look out of proportion and uneven or lumpy.
Fashionable jackets are a joy for many years. Unfashionable jackets or jackets that are cheaply made quickly have to be tossed out. A wise decision can make the cold weather a time of joy for the fashion conscious consumer.
